    well I must say my crazy sister really loved her table runner - but the other sister is going to split the hexagons and made a bag from one, maybe keep one for a placemat and the other I dont know. I just love the way some people can never accept things and say I will use it and not say anything about pulling it apart.
    The little sister's husband was amazed that this sister in law could make something so beautiful and full of love for her. I am very hurt the way the eldest sister accepted the gift - she has given me handbags each year and I use them constantly because she made them for me. Oh well next year may be different.

    The chickens are from a pattern someone on this sight gave me - if I find them I will post pm them to you. and yes they are appliqued.

    My little sister said I was really smart to put them different ways on the base so they can be a talking point with visitors. Just loves it.

    Thanks for sharing.I don't do applique....too much arthritis, but still might try with raw edge.Thanks again.
