Keep on sewing. I have had days like yours, can be very frustrating. I figure if I learn from my mistakes, eventually there will be fewer! Enjoy your sewing!

Yes, yes, & more yes! Even tho it had a hard road to go, this is one beautiful quilt! I love the fabric & coloration. Plus, your determination show you're a natural-born quilter! Thanks for sharing with us!

Me, too. Some days things just refuse to go right. That's when I just walk away & let things simmer down... LOL!

you have lots of quilt to tuck under and over the pillows for sure. lovely quilt, so don't give up!!!
and don't forget it's OK to have only three borders. you don't always need one at the top of the bed.

beautiful quilt, maybe some bed raisers would help? they are kind of like blocks that raise up the bed? That would help with the excess quilt problem.

    Well, the quilt looks great!
We could be quilting sisters! Something always goes wrong with mine. Did you begin with the log cabin and then wanted the borders added on? That makes the quilt much bigger and you probably didn't realize it at the time. How did you want the quilt to fit on the bed; cover the mattress, 6" drop, 12" drop, look like a bedspread? That's what you need to decide and go from there.
I'm sorry but it will mean ripping out again. (I do that so much it's second nature now!) Just to make it a little easier(?) why not take off the mountains on the top and bottom (nice creative thought, by the way) and add another green border on the sides? Who said each side has to be bordered the same?!
