Such a beautiful quilt. Even with all you problems on it, you did a fantastic job. The colors are just lovely, but then I am prejudiced, as purples of any shade are my favorite. Looks great!

The quilt is gorgeous, but what a story to go with it! I have never heard of an iron doing what yours did, and I certainly hope I never experience anything like that from my iron. Of course it could not have happened on some little piece of fabric before it was sewn into anything. Oh, no! It just had to happen on the border of that quilt, and in a spot where it would be a huge amount of work to fix! I guess an exploding iron could only have caused more trouble if it had burned you. Scary!
Yes, indeed, you are a quilter, and one with a lot more than the average amount of perseverance!

Wow, u sound like me! I just recently finished a quilt top and not only had to re-do the embroidery once.....but 4 times! There wasn't a problem with the embroidery that I did....that turned out nicely. But do u think I could cut the embroidered block down to the correct size???? Only after 4 attempts! lol
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful! Give yourself a nice pat on the back for a job well done....even after all the problems u had to overcome! You did done good! lol
