    I am intrigued by the center panel on your oh-too-gorgeous quilt ... how did you achieve the "overlap," the "building up" look of the blocks? ... Did you applique', set them individually, is it a quilted panel, etc.??? I love the look and would sure like to give it a try myself.

    That is a stunning quilt and looks like an original design. Truely gorgeous fabrics and quilting skills! After reading all the posts I thought, yeah, glass or clear plastic would be a great protector, but at my house, that would be permission to set stuff on top of it, then it wouldn't be visible anymore.

    Would you share where the pattern for this quilt came from? We are going to Africa in the spring. I would love to make something like this for my husband. It's his fantasy trip - his retirement gift.
