I am so excited because 2 of my friends have been morphed into quilters! I have been quilting for about 20 years now and have made no secret about how relaxing it is to come home after a hectic day at the clinic and just sit and sew for a few minutes. One of the nurses there asked if she could come home with me one day and see what I was doing. She thought it would be hard but took on a log cabin quilt to start because she got some 2 1/2 inch strips. It turned into a beautiful quilt and she was ecstatic. My other friend wanted to kill some time and decided to make a pot holder during a rare snow storm while she was visiting me and could not return to Houston due to the roads. She is now an award winning quilter. Happy happy. Now I have two wonderful friends to share my joy with.

I'm glad you have sister's to quilt with. Congrats on being able to bite your tongue when needed I know this can be hard with sisters some times. It looks like you are doing a great job of teaching. I love the monkey quilt best.
