Default A Tennessee Waltz with a twist

Here is a local Arkansas quilt, a 'Tennessee Waltz' pattern with a twist, she used her husband's old silk ties in the large blocks. He has retired.

She asked that we not quilt over the ties, so we crosshatched the center tie blocks and the inside border of the quilt to match. SITD around the ties, quilted a feather border around the outside border & feathered (blocks) in the quilt field.

This quilt has Hobbs 80/20 and she wishes to quilt it herself.

That's a much better pattern for ties than most I've seen, and you've done a great job of designing a quilt pattern to enhance them even more. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Great quilt and lovely quiting! I think you meant to say she wants to bind it by herself because you already quilted it beautifully.
