The girl was very easy to do and it wouldn't be too much for a swap. It's just figuring out what embellishments!
I will try the foundation one. I have in mind to do a set of them out of the fabric for each quilt I do.

If politicians would work together as well as quilters our great country would be in much, much better shape. I appreciate every one's work toward getting these patterns together for those of us who are computer challenged. Thanks to one and all.

I'm going to try a slight modification on the boy's pants. If I add a seam up the middle front I can sew the center triangle onto one leg then sew the other leg on. Hmmm... that sounds a bit like what foundation piecing would be.
They were fun to make and even though it took a long time it wasn't, "Dang, this takes a long time!" It was, "What can I put on next before I sew it together?"
Even if someone doesn't want to do a whole quilt, or even a wall hanging, I think they would be cute to do just one exquisite set, frame them, and hang them on-point. How about a wedding gift? A bride and groom and embroider the names on them with accents of the colors in the wedding. A birthday gift with a theme? So many possibilities.
