    Default Texas Quilt

This is the biggest quilt I've ever done. It's a simple mosaic of 2" squares and a few 1/2- and 1/4-square triangle blocks. The map is done in all cowboy-themed fabrics, many of which were fussy-cut to feature a little horse, cowboy, or hat, etc. It was lots of fun to make.

The quilting was done with red, white and blue variegated thread in a loopy all-over pattern, except for big stars in each corner. The talented quilter (not me) that did it said she imagined the West Texas wind blowing tumbleweeds across the plains and her hands just knew what to do.
