Ok, so... one down, three to go.

I'm making this for a wall hanging for a friend's birthday on Friday. She had the nerve to ask me to give her one quilts I'm working on... um... NO?!
I haven't even finished yet and that's a pretty darn big gift to give someone. She's a friend but we're not THAT close.
Anyway, I've been eye-balling this block for some time now, and I'm glad I only decided to make a wall hanging because I think I would hang myself if I had to make many more of these. Took me a full hour to make that single block!
It's going to be 4 blocks, with a few fun borders and some very simple quilting, since I have to go see her on Friday, and I work 2 jobs and probably have to bring my kitty to the vet in the next few days.

Let me know what you guys think of it. I wanted more vibrant colours, but I just raided my stash, and I think these colours work. :)

Oh yes, those colors do work. That block looks ridiculously hard! As usual, you have it mastered. What is wrong with kitty?

That looks like a hard block! What is it called? And you are going to have it all together and quilted by Friday! Superwoman! :?
It looks like it will be just super! I do like the colors, too. Could I be your friend? :?

It's from quilter's cache, it's called "caned seat". I don't get the title... maybe I'm a bit slow.

I think you are making someone very happy by working so hard for her birthday! You are a good person to take so much time for her.

I know most people don't realize how much money and time go into quilts. Don't judge her too bad. Hey she loves your work! That's not all bad. Right?

You must be pretty good friends after all! That block looks tough! Makes me wonder what the quilt you are working on looks like!
