Wow, that is absolutly beautiful! Congratulations on finishing it.... I am having trouble with one now, and you are an inspiration. I love the prairie point border!

OK, now I have to ask. WHAT is it that you think is wavy?

Too wavy for you? I'll gladly love it and keep it on my bed.

It is beautiful. Did you free motion quilt?

It looks awesome. We all have to learn by making some mistakes....most of them no one else will notice. I love, love, love your prairie points.

Gosh guys, y'all have given me such wonderful praise. I really am blown away by the kind comments. Thank you soooo much!

For those that asked about what pattern it is, I didn't use a pattern so I'm not sure what pattern it's close to. I had a bunch of 30's prints and wanted a quilt with a bunch of smaller pinwheels. That was where I started at. :) I saw a pattern over at modabakeshop.com that used the narrow and wide borders with prairie points in between and I copied that look on this quilt. The pieced binding was my own idea and honestly I was pretty tickled with myself for thinking of it. (That's totally dorky I know but that's just how I am :))

A few asked about the quilting. I did it myself on my new Bernina. It's just a free motion stipple in the pinwheels and in the big border. I'm hoping to expand my free motion ability with the next few quilts I do.

For those that questioned the waves, trust me, they're there. I didn't measure and attach my borders correctly and they were very wavy after it was all said and done. I contemplated redoing them but decided to just get it all finished. Some of the waves quilted out but it still isn't flat and square when laid out. But like I said, live and learn. This will be the last time I make that mistake. :)

Thank you all again! Your comments mean a lot to me.

Wow, what a luscious quilt. Don't feel you need to apologize, ever again. Each mistake made is a lesson learned. Your quilt is so lovely, I might have to start collecting '30s prints, am feeling the need to have an "ice cream" colors quilt like your's.
