Oh my gosh! I was there day and saw your quilts! I loved the quilt in your first picture. I was amazed at the teeny tiny blocks! They were amazing and it doesn't even show up in this photos! Congrats on the ribbons! I keep thinking I need to go to one of the quilt meetings.

I challenged myself with the colors. I lean toward the water colors of blues and aquas. Cherrywood did the work on the colors. I purchased a yard pack of their hand dyed fabrics that run from Chartreuse to Magenta. It took searching A&E for about two hours before I found the Paula Nadelstern pattern, Palindromes which is what I named my quilt. A funny thing was I thought the fabric was non directional and cut all the X shapes. Started assembling and rats, it was directional. Rushed back to A&E and purchased the rest of the bolt. Luckily it was on sale the second time around. Recut the centers, with a plan this time, and now I have swiss cheese. Who knows what other quilt will come of the scraps. Too good for the free table.
