    My son did that one year for me - a gift card to Joann's. That year I also received an extremely generous gift from my co-workers - a huge basket with tea, tea cups, fabrics, and misc sewing supplies (plus a gift card to a LQS that I adore). THAT was the best Christmas ever! I had an absolute blast shopping at Joann's & the LQS.

    I'll have to look at the rotating mat. I'm doing the Farmer's Wife, and it sounds like it would come in handy doing all those blocks! I use the term "doing" loosely...I've done 3 blocks so far!! You did good on the shopping!!
