    Default Thanksgiving Door hanging

I made this for my mom, who is in assisted living. She likes to have something on her apartment door. I try to make her something new for each month. This is what I made for Thanksgiving. The turkey pattern is from a coloring page that I used as a pattern. The leaves and the turkey waddle are stitched on 3D style and the acorn is a button from Mom's button box. It is festive for her door. It's a good conversation starter with the other residents. It is so hard with them being isolated to stay safe from Coronavirus. Little things brighten her day.

Adorable! My mom loved her door decorations. When she got to the point when her mental capacities were strained she relied on her door decor to know where she lived.
Hugs to all Moms and Dads out there living in facilities and away from family members. I miss my Mom bunches.

Just perfect... Mr Turkey is sure to make her smile every times she see him. So thoughtful and kind.
