I have this book and the CD also, but first I have to finish my Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. Your fabrics are beautiful, but have to agree with the others about the large prints.

I, too, am working on the Farmer's Wife Blocks. I can't seem to quit buying Fat quarter's for it and will probably have enough fabric to make another one if I wanted to when finished with this one (NOT!) The fabrics I have chosen are all reproduction fabrics from the time period of when the original blocks where supposed to have been made but I have seen people use lots of other fabrics with equally stunning results. Good luck with your new project!

The colors are very happy and will work well. You will want to add some solids or small prints to go along. Have fun whatever fabrics you decide on. I am working on FW with a group at my local lqs. The group is doing theirs completely scrappy. By that they choose scraps in colors that suit them. I had bought a line of pinks and greys to use before I knew the group would be doing scrappy. I am getting very bored with my color line. There are only eight different fabrics. I may end up going scrappy after all soon. I love all the ones the others are doing.

Why not keep with your colour scheme? Just add in some more pinks (off white pink thru to cherry), likewise different greys, charcoal, blacks and whites. It'll make for a beautiful quilt!!

Why feel you have to do the same as the rest of the group?
There is nothing wrong with beign unique. In fact it is admirable!
