    The blocks were 6.5" unfinished so the quilt without the border is 5' x 5'. Border was 3.5" so the whole thing is about 67" square. Everyone I showed it too had a first reaction of oh WOW!!! so hopefully your DDIL will like it?

    Oh my gosh, that is beautiful. I have no clue how this quilt is put together. Looks complicated. Love the design you get when it is put on point. If you hadn't quilted the border it would have been wavy. All quilting needs to be even across the whole thing or it doesn't lay flat. You did good!!!!

    Wow! I love this. who is the pattern by? Please let me know. I think our church group needs to make one for our Pastor who will be leaving!

    Go to toadusew.com and look for Thinking Outside the Block. Its available as just the pattern or with the fabric. Its easy and Fun!!!

    If you can cut strips and do a Log Cabin you can easily make this. That is what is so cool. Looks complex but isn't! And it isn't on point the blocks go straight across. Great illusion!
