I have 85 started to add to the 22 I finished already, but it's too much to add one strip at a time to that many at once, so I forced myself to pull a few from the pile to finish up. Here's the first batch. There are different "lights" on these, and "darks"... but it'll all blend in in the end. (she crosses fingers) (the darker green flowers in the last light strip might not make it into other blocks... I'm thinking it's just too dark--it is the right shade though.)

No blocks are sewed together-I just laid them like this for you to see options.

Marica--see the pretty sunflowers from your house? :D

I'm not sure, Jackie--I'm making a LOT of squares (over 100) so I'll have many options. There will be so many designs to choose from. I'll most likely need help deciding on one.

I wanted to get this and the Black and White Splash well under way before mare stare gets intense... then I can't sew. My stallion gets gelded Wednesday--so I'll miss more days this week. At least I didn't have school work the past two days!! Busy, busy, busy....

that'd be flattering, beachlady... :D besides, ummm, the idea was born from two quilts I saw--one on here (a floral log cabin--Shelley's http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/11584.page ), and one in a round about way from a link on here (it was a watercolor Irish Chain).
