Marie, it was always my intention to 'change' the colour of that charcoal marble fabric with heavy purple variegated quilting - I think some thought it was a little dark and gloomy as a top but I knew it would be OK as I had this in my head! Ditto the dark red squares now beaded to heck!
How is your version coming along?

sorry I won't be able to see you on the Sunday. I'm bringing my two girls (age 10 and 16). We're flying out very very early Thursday morning. Shopping in Birmingham city on thursday, quilt show on Friday and Saturday and fly home (hopefully with a load of goodies) on Saturday night.

Absolutely lovely -- and I am thrilled to say I will be going on the Saturday - so I will find it and see it "in the flesh" so to speak. To anyone going on the Saturday, it would be great to say "hello"
