Here is a photo of a quilt I designed and made using an upside down applique method I learned on Quilting University. My granddaughters like the quilt but we are also going to use it as a banner when we set up a train display for kids. I painted fabric for the smoke and steam.

Cute! Very nice work -- the quilting lines make the sun pop!

What an awesome quilt! My son would have loved something like that when he was 3 years old! He was totally into the train things!

Now THAT's an art quilt! I love it and I have a little great-nephew who would too! It should be a hit with all kids. Great job!

Really cute quilt! The quilting is awesome. Gives the quilt lots of dimension and texture. My little granddaughter loves Thomas the train. Did you design this yourself or did you have a pattern?
