    I don't have a horse in tomorrow's National Championship game but I thought I'd post this quilt that a made a few years back for a dear friend. The final design is my own and it was my first attempt at putting a quilt together with no pattern. I used paperpieced compass blocks from Block Base/EQ and needleturn appliqued the center.
    I quilted it on my little Janome 4623LE.

    Thank you!! He really liked it and was quite surprised. It's the only sports themed quilt I've ever done and I'm a diehard football fan. I keep saying someday I'll make one for me with Buckeye or Browns colors but I never do.

    I should cheer for the SEC, but, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh, it's Auburn - so .... roll ducks!

    Wonderful quilt! I'm amazed when I see quilts made without a pattern - you did a wonderful job!

    My DS lives in Portland, so I can assure you I'll be rooting for the Ducks tomorrow night :)
