Got an image now of you hiding in a dumpster - little eyes (and big ears LOL) poking out the trash! Eyes going right and left, looking for approaching French ladies with fistfuls of scraps!

Maybe you shouldn't show them. They may stop throwing away those precious scraps..

I save pretty much everything, just not sure when I will ever get the time to use them. Though I am willing to let people come and root through what is here. O f course, only if I get to see what they make out of it.

I save all my scraps! I make string quilt blocks out of the larger pieces. Recently I started sewing odds and ends together to make pieces of fabric. I then cut that fabric into strips and made a Camping Quilt. I used a recycled heavy flannel blanket for the backing. I didn't use any batting. I sewed the first strip down on the edge. Then sewed the second strip right side together with the first. I flipped it over and sewed on the next strip. When I was finished sewing on strips I added a binding around the quilt and it was finished. We went camping last weekend up in the high country and the quilt was sure nice to cuddle under.

I guess you can see how much goes to waste in my sewing room. These are each 1.5 inches unfinished.

    1 inch blocks.
