Default Thread colour?

I am quilting my Boxes of Strings with grey thread on top and thought I would use grey in the bobbin so I didn't have to worry about tension. Well I did the 1/2 strip down the middle of my 90X90 (what was I thinking!!) and my quilting wasn't too bad but I decided to change out the bobbin thread to black. That is looking better with only a few spots of the grey showing that should be fine after washing the quilt. Now my dilemma.....do I pick out the 1/2 row of grey to replace it with black or do the second half of the row in grey and consider it an accent row down the center of the backing? What say you my quilting friends...

I imagine some people will not like my suggestion, but I have for one reason or another used a fine tip black sharpie to go over a line like that. It never bled.

I think I would remove it also. I love the softer look the black gives it.

I think it depends if I was keeping the quilt or passing it on. If it was for me, I'd use a fine tip sharpie, like ruthrings says. Otherwise, rip it out.

I agree. It all depends on where it's going.

I am with Ruth, color over with a sharpie. My daughters worked at a shop that did embroidery and this is how repairs were fixed.
