Thrift finds
#27
Great thrift store finds.
In the left corner of the first photo I spied a chest just like one I used to have. It orginally was a secretary/desk that my MIL had that she painted beige. The top was broken so badly that DH had to cut it off and I used the bottom as a desk, the front dropped down to form a desk and it had little cubby holes to put papers, etc. I antiqued it and used it for at least 25 years and sold it at a yard sale for about $25 dollars. Imagine my surprise when I saw it at a local antique shop advertised as a
'gentleman's desk' with a price tag of $250!
