I know I hit the jackpot that day. I did a happy dance all the way to the car. :)

I saw an old Singer in our Goodwill last weekend too. I'm not sure what model it actually was though. It was a flat black, and had the Singer name on a plate that was bolted on the arm of the machine instead of the decal. It didn't have any decals at all, just the dull black. And the place if front of the machine on the base where the serial number should have been, I thought, there was the depression for it, but it was either not there or was not visible. The electrical cords were all rotten, and it was in a VERY HEAVY cabinet that I wouldn't have wanted to move. I would have loved to have just the head of the machine to display, but my husband was against it. I know when to let him have his say, as then he'd be more receptive to something that actually would work. And I'd rather have a portable anyway. We have just a small ranch style home and not that much extra room for a lot of machines. I did get 2 old machines this summer, a 1939 Featherweight in May, and a 1928 99-13 in Aug.
