Thrift Store Treasure Found!

Ocean Waves is the pattern.
Age is determined by style, color, fabric. There are other clues such as batting.
I've heard lots of advice on repairing: find same-age fabric and applique a repair. Use a special netting over the batting. Or, just repair over the tears with any fabric you'd like (this almost definitely will reduce the antique value but will increase the functional value so you must decide what your goal is for your antique).

I know! And boy, we all know there are some stories beyond the construction and gifting that we'd want to avoid hearing... haha.

Just so that you know this; I know that there are quilters out there that have written messages under their bindings. so if you find one that needs the binding replaced take a look to see if she wrote a story under it or not! I do that to ALL MY QUILTS!

Ohhhhh good one. I'll do that too (check and maybe add a little inscription to my own quilts!).
