This is a great quilt. Did you cut away pieces on the panel where the window sashings are? This is one of the best ones I ever seen. Nice job and I'll watch for the finished quilt. How will you quilt it? Just real pretty.

Thank you everyone. I only trimmed off selveges and made sure is would give me equal sizes of pieces. I have a pretty dark green which maybe would suit. I had pinned it to curtain to get the "Through the Window" look just so happened the curtain pelmet was there lol. Have tried red but too glarish and the black is already there on it so maybe green is the way to go, MSQ did a 4" border on hers which looked good but I think I will try 21/2 finished to close it in.

    I just love that!

I guess if I am looking in the window at the tree I would have to think about what the outside of the window would look like That would be the border?? I have in mind a very pretty white on white with snowflakes. I used this on a quilt and it was very pretty.

I bet this would be pretty too. I guess it depends on how big you make the border. There is probably snowflake fabric in whatever color you want

Sorry, no suggestion. You are obviously a much more accomplished quilter than I will ever be. This is really very lovely.

I love the way it looked, and love the window trimming! Makes me want to do one and incorporate the drapes into panes as it would look from the outside. I think coming up with a border that accentuates the look of the outside of the house is a neat idea.

While I've liked the different "through the window" quilts posted, yours is the first one I really like and makes me want to make one for myself - but then I also love driving around at Christmas time and looking for lit up trees in the windows.
