    Default Throw Pillows

Hi all, I needed a quick sewing project while waiting for my batting and backing for the current quilt project (my trip around the hemispheres posted in pictures). I purchased two pillow forms on a whim and this is the result. The one on the left is quilted, but the one on the right is not. The cat's name is Dobbs. He is named after the Bogart character in the "Treasure of the Sierra Madre."

Cute pillows! I had a dog years ago who was named Bogart. One of my favorite actors. I also have a Casablanca poster and some lobby cards from other Bogart films hanging in my hallway.

Thanks. Our other cat is Myrna after Myrna Loy. I would much rather watch an old black and white movie than anything being put out now. My favorite Bogart movie is "To Have and Have Not."

I'm the same. I haven't been to the movies in years because I got tired of paying a bunch of money to watch and mediocre (at best) movie. I LOVE "To Have and Have Not"

Love the bright colors in the pillows! Dobbs looks great as your model.

Yes, indeed, Old Movies are still my favorites. YouTube is my primary source. They are good company while I stitch away in my sewing room. I like the simple colorful pillows and they make use of what is on hand. I have a few pillow patterns rumbling about in my head as Christmas gifts. Your photo is a good reminder that in just 6 months it will be Christmas Eve!

My kitties have movie/book character names too. Scout (To Kill a Mockingbird) passed a few years ago and now I have ZuZu (It's A Wonderful Life). Happy stitching and pillow making!
