Tie quilt for church
First let me give credit where credit is due. Lovetoquilt posted an absolutely gorgeous tie quilt several years ago, and here is the link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...lt-t22667.html. I want to thank her for all her help and emails! My quilt doesn't compare to her talent.
I asked members of our congregation back in February to donate unwanted ties to make a quilt for the church. In less than three weeks I had almost 500 ties, and our church is not that large! I enjoyed making this
quilt and have never worked so diligently on one this size, which is a queen. I titled the quilt "Bless be the Ties that Bind". I haven't taken a picture yet of the label that I embroidered, but I will, and may post it later. The quilt will be autioned November 18th. I'm not the greatest at taking pictures either, but hope you enjoy, and thanks for looking!

That is just so beautifully done !!!..... I did a quilt that was raffled off at my Mom's church a couple of years ago...it's a very small church that's had a congregation since the 1850's.....but with all the tickets sold, it raised $950.00.... i wish you (your church) all the very very best at the auction !!!!
