I've been playing around with miniature paper piecing blocks (just to use up the tiny scraps, mostly) and I made these two into magnets. The cat is for a friend who loves cats, and the tea cup is for the lady who taught me paper piecing.

I just made a tiny quilt sandwich and then folded the backing over the front for binding. I tried doing one with a tiny little traditional binding, but it did not go well.

Thanks, I have this jar of tiny scraps that are odd shapes, too big to throw out but too odd to use for most things, and I am finally getting to use some of them, like for the cat's ears and the cup handle.

I hate to throw fabric out unless it's just snippings that are OBVIOUSLY too small to use, so it makes me happy to find something they're good for.
