I purchased the same set for $30 years ago. I really liked the templates. Sure was easier than cutting one piece at a time from sandpaper templates. That one took me 2 years to make because I sewed it all by hand and also hand quilted it. I have mine in quilting frames right now. The tip on using a smaller cutter is a good suggestion.

I, too, got one set at a quilt show in New York City. I don't remember what I paid. I started my DD's in Jan. and sent it to my Amish friend to handquilt and gave it to her for her wedding that May. I did it in peach and browns and it really looks nice. Will get pics soon and show it to you. I thought it was really easy to make. I try to cut out the pieces one evening or the next day and then line them all up ready to sew. Never had a problem. I was really surprised how easy it was. Have fabric in greens to make another one. My grandmother made me one for my wedding in 1962 and I really used it. I cherish it a lot.

No, I don't have one--I did buy it, loved the quilt I made, loaned the set to a friend, who packed up and left the state, without returning the set. Phooey!! the old one

I'm new to this, but I also found the same thing in a yard sale about a year ago and got it for $1.50. Plus I got 2 yds of material. I love it.

I have one and had a quilt made from it by a Mennonite lady but have not used it myself. If I can find it I will pm you for your address and you can have it.

I don't have the pattern or the templates but I have seen the quilt in a magazine before. When I have enough experience I want to try this pattern. I recently married my husband, (10-08-10) and would have loved to receive a quilt like this. My new MIL can quilt like a pro! (hint, hint)(she knows who she is) :D

Yes, I have that same kit. Bought it at Nancy's notions a couple years ago. Only I paid over $30.00 for mine. So, I would say you got it for a steal.
