The quilt turned out beautiful. I wouldn't worry about it. Kids don't care.

    it's beautiful.
And keep the back dark, that way it has a chance when she drags it around for the next 10 years.

I think it is beautiful and very, very feminine looking. They will love it.

I rarely make a "baby" quilt since my grandchildren still use their baby quilt as teenagers. I make them lap size and usually pick a traditional fabric and pattern. Now they are used on campouts and watching TV or whatever. My quilts were made to be used and enjoyed.

Yes, In my opinion baby/children quilts should have baby/children fabrics. Thats how we know the quilt is for a baby or a child. A BABY quilt is made to celebrate a babies birth, so why not make it out of BABY fabric.

I don't think so, but it probably depends on the tastes of the parents. I had one customer order a quilt for her 6-month-old that was a double bed size. Her chosen colors were brown, green, and blue. She said she wanted something he could grow with and take to college when he grew up.

It's beautiful, and any baby girl would look incredible, wrapped in it!! I wouldn't change a thing!
