I finished piecing my strip quilt and am very happy with it and the suggestion I took on how to put it together and now I am ready to do the border. I made a strip of piano keys border but I personally think it is too much for the quilt. I think a softer border with another thin black one all around would look better but wanted to pass it by all of you first. I don't have the second fabric yet so can't send a picture of that one. This one side took me TWO days to put together. It is very time- consuming.

I think the piano key border is perfect for it.

I really like that with the thin black sashing. I'm going to start making some blocks for the HeartString Yahoo group. That's exactly what I want to do!

    Beautiful work.

I love your quilt & I think your idea about a more solid border is good. I think it would set off your quilt better. But I am a little conservative, but I tend to like plainer borders when the quilt blocks have a lot going on.

I like your idea. The Piano Key border kind of takes away from the rest of the design for me. Beautiful work, by the way! :)
