I don't applique yet so that's out. Hotter pink sashing around 4 blocks - like around a large 4-patch? Then use that same pink for the wider border? Or the same with fuscia if I can find the right shade? Thought this was going to be SOOO easy!

I may make a few more rows worth of blocks and see what I think then. Eyelette ruffle around edges? ric-rac somewhere?

Like the white border idea - also like trading the flowers with the green.

Liking the idea of calm and pretty though - that's what I first was thinking. I think my bright yellow and blue ducks (previous project) ruined me.

Ya'll are the BEST! I was ready to just stop working on this and I'm off and running again. A friend and I are working on this together - we'll sandwich together and she's do the binding - haven't decided who'll quilt it yet - so I'm really wanting it to be awesome!

So the green isn't next to the green, etc. A narrow white strip as the first border is all I would change. I would bind it with that precious pink with the tiny dot. I adore it, soft and feminine with out any pop...

i agree. my friend just made a baby quilt for my new great nephew coming in feb. she used very soft blues and greens. it is beautiful but she thinks it needs more contrast. i love contrast too but sometimes it is nice to have calm and sweet.

this is adorable just as you have it. i do like the idea of the thin white border.

You could put some bows from ribbon maybe white on the solid pink squares if you don't applique. It needs a little something on the pink blocks or maybe quilt with a pattern of bows on them. Love the white border idea

    Love the colors.

I'm thinking that a brighter or darker pink would give it just the zing it needs. Maybe a narrow sashng between blocks. Gorgeous soft quilt exactly as it is though.

This quilt can't go wrong. It's absolutely beautiful the way it is and yes it would have a pop with a darker border strip or sashing, but still looks awesome just the way you have it! What do you think the recipient would like best?
