I think when you get it all together, you will love it. It looks very soft and cozy to me. Hang in there, we all have days like that

cjomomma....Amen to your words. The first ones I tried looked horrible. I wasn't even interested in taking out the stitches, just threw them in the scrap bin and moved on to something else. Maybe I'll try them again later on because I like the way they look.

As for your green one, I really do like it. Mine didn't look anywhere near that good.

Those fabrics made up would make me want to take the quilt and stretch out under a big tree on a lovely summer day. Oh, I can feel the breeze already. Crisp and soft at the same time.

Keep going, once you get the hang of it :D you will see it's actually a quite easy and quick block to make and you can make it in so many variations  Those are 2 I enjoyed making after the initial harder start. The first was for my DGD, the 2nd one for a dying friend and the last block is what I'm working on right now  I will post it when it's finished. Bad days = if I can, I go back to bed for 10-15 min right at the start of the day when I've got the feeling it might get crappy, usually I'm better then :P .
And I'd love to see your quilt when it's finished

Now THOSE COLORS are beautiful together :) I thought I'd go nuts doing it at first but once you do it, it comes easy. Do you have the book?

I love your block. The green looks like Spring. The next block will probably take 30 minutes, the next 20. You know what they say, "Practice makes perfect." Your block is wonderful.
