Bright and subtle...the colors are perfect. Is this the three dimensional bow tie block? I made my first one at the quilt retreat I just came back from...KEPT THE SAMPLE!!! It was difficult to figure out, and several of the experienced gals flubbed up. GREAT JOB!

A clean living room, and a fresh mind later will do all the wonders at the next round!

boy do i know what your talking about. First time I tried to make the star block I did everything backwards. I laughed at myself. Now Im making my sister a 3 pocket sissor holder and I made a embroidery palm tree with her name a long time ago and thought I could put that one on. Well I did sew it on and to my surprize It didnt desolve. I could of cryed. But I took out my sissors and sat down and cut and cut and cut it away. I bought some desolving stablelizer that should desolve with water, but half of the roll wasnt the desolving kind. They made a mistake, well I did take it back and they did give me a new one. but dang What a hassle. I should of checked first but no i thought it was on the right one.

I have to be honest I thought it looked like the bow tie block too! I followed the tutorial on you-tube for MSQC called the 10 minute block. I'm not gonna sew the center piece down like they suggested.

I did the same thing when working on a hidden wells block.
I had to take one half of two blocks apart.
Now that you have given yourself a good orientation of sewing and ripping..........things should go easier.
    Keep on making them!

Good ideas Crafty_linda_b Are you thinking it would make a bow tie if using the same fabric for the center?
