As so many of us ladies who have lost their daddy, how hard it is well, here is the story...
He was such a speical man sober for 35 years a strong he was my hero!
My dad became ill and passed away 2 months after he became sick, we lost him in Aug of 09. There was a huge release of Monarch butterflies in the city he lived, the release was done the day he passed. We were surronded by butterflies. My daughter everyday when climbing into her car has a butterfly fly accross her car windshield during the summer months.
Mother's Day the following yr, my family went to do something for mom. Clean up we called it. Reframing windows raking the yard, scrubbing inside, and I was grilling, my husband brought out some lawn chairs and while I was turning the ribs, a butterfly landed on the chair and sat there, didnt fly away. A bird flew in and frighten the butterfly away. it flew to the shed next door I walked over to it and stood and watched it.
Then went into the house and announced Papa was here, and I wanted the camera, it then flew to the window of our gargae and sat there while I clicked away the pictures very very close to it. I took a number of pictures, now the search began for the butterfly type. There are millions of them.
My friend Sandra posted on Face book a picture and friends began searching we found it was a Red Admiral.
At which time she as well sent me a poem I recorded and we then made this movie, and I would love to share it with you all. here is the link please enjoy as much as we have enjoyed searching for the perfect backing for the speical quilts that I am making. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FIM1Xralh4
