    My grandson LOVES trains, so I made this for his birthday. The pattern was a freebie from Fat Cat Patterns.

    I did a serpentine stitch between the blocks, stitched in the ditch around the border and FMQ around the cars of the train. I didn't have quite enough of the Thomas fabric for the back, so I added some other fabric to stretch it out.

    How cute is that?? I love that you have his picture on the label too! Great job, was this needle turn appliqued?

    No, fusible and raw edge applique. I ran out of Lite Steam-a-seam 2 and used the regular. It gummed up the needle more than the Lite does. also it's a little stiffer than I'd like. But he's only 3. I'm sure I'll be replacing it in a couple of years with something else when he wears it out. :)
