Well, I made a mug rug. I think they are so cute, but had not made any until today. I was cleaning up my work area and started pulling scraps out of the trash can beside my Juki. I get in a hurry and throw things away I really want to keep. I decided to use a piece of batting back with flannel that had been trimmed from something and just sew strips on it and see where it would go. This is the result. The leaves, blue flower petals and yellow centers were pulled directly from the trash. I think it is kind of cute. Think I will make some more today.

Cute. Isn't amasing what we can do with scraps.

Ah hum, (throat clearing sound?) my husband regularly says this is exactly how the show Hoarders came about.....someone un-tossed stuff in the trash! I keep saying call the producers, but no, he'd rather keep my mental illnesses quiet.
