It is a beautiful quilt -- I love those old-fashioned patterns best!

For the name of the block, it may be a variation of the County Fair block...

I do no know the block but love it! Perhaps one she made up? All colors go together, as in nature, and I think you have a great treasure there.

I just looked up the block, and I too think it was derived from that block!
