This quilt means the world to us. My MIL pieced it with her sister and some friends for the "76 bicentennial but never completed it. She is in a nursing home with Alzheimers now. A few years ago, I asked my mom if she would finish it for us. She handquilted it for us and did a beautiful job! So, the quilt is made by both of our mothers. Each block represents a special event in US history. It's queen sized. Both of our moms are excellent quilters.
