Everyone has to begin somewhere. You picked a great project, gave it lots of thought, experimented, and FINISHED using different techniques. Can't ask yourself for anymore than that. I try to let each project challenge me in some way so that I am constantly learning: whether it is a new pattern, different color combinations, new techniques, etc. As one area gets easier, branch out into new territory. You have a wonderful start. Can't wait to see your next project!

Well done! Everyone starts somewhere, and now you've started!! Sounds like you enjoyed it more than you expected, too! Binding is hard for everyone at the start, but gets better with practice. Practicing on smaller pieces makes it easier to work out the kinks and get the feel of it. Now for your next project????

Great job, and kudos for hand quilting through Insul-Brite, it's not easy to machine stitch, let alone hand stitch.
