This quilt is an anniversary present for my daughter & husband. They went to Hawaii last year and when I saw this pattern in Eleanor Burns' Quick Trip Quilts book I knew it was perfect for them. It's the quickest quilt I've made. Started it in January, got it to the longarm quilter the first of February, finished the binding today. Just in time to take it this week when we go for a visit.

What a wonderful job you did picking out your fabrics because the colors do remind me of an island paradise and the flow of the pattern does too! Please let us know how much they loved this quilt and thank you for sharing it.

Wow! Awesome quilt! It makes me want to go to the beach on a remote island.

I often visited a quilt shop right on the beach in Hilo and drolled at their creations! I bought beautiful tropical fabrics and made a quilt, some muu-muus and tablecloths, aprons, pillows and now my stash is almost gone. So nothing else to do but take a trip there again.:)
