It's gorgeous! After seeing yours, I'm kickin' my own butt, because I had a similar fabric to your center fabric, and the instructor I had at the time suggested I not use it, because the print was a bigger print. So I passed up that fabric, got a much smaller print (in fact, the center is white on white), and did smaller prints on my chains (it's a double). It's still a work in progress, but will post pics when finished!

But I'm kickin' my butt, because that initial fabric choice could have worked out well. : (

I just shouldn't have listened to her. On my first quilt, a Card Trick, she suggested I not go with the pink that I'd chosen. I did, and it really worked with the other fabrics I'd chosen. See, go with your gut instinct!!!

I love your fabric choices. Aren't Moda marbles great! They have a nice depth to them without changing a lot in color. I also use them as my solids a lot of time.
I see you did this post on Sunday. Maybe you could send the quilt to me since that was my birthday!!!
Anyway keep up the good work, you always have such nice quilts and pictures to share. Especially the ones of your kayaking surroundings, you make me jealous.

I enjoyed do an Irish chain a couple of years ago. It seems to put itself together. Your quilt is awesome.

Love your chain. But I love single , double and triple chains. I have done them all. Your color choice is wonderful. Isn't nice when a material calls to you and you find a way to use it?
