    I was so intrigued with the technique Trudy developed I just had to attempt it with a picture of my grandson taken about 3 years ago.

    My first result turned out pretty well even though that little smile is not quite captured in the fabric rendition. A few other details are a little off, too, but it was a fun learning experience. I did make an extra copy of the "cartoon" so I'll probably attempt it again applying some of the "hindsight" gained from the first run-through.

    I'm not fimilar with Tudy's technique. Is Trudy a QB member and if so did she do an editoral/tute?? Tinker

    Yes, Trudy is a QB member -- her user name is grammatjr. She's posted a few threads with examples of her technique and is planning to publish a book of instruction.

    Really nice! The only thing I see about his cute smile is that it could be a little wider. Everything else looks just the same. I'm not sure how it was done, but I absolutely love it!!

    I felt the same way about the smile, Kathryn. But, when I drew it that way he started looking kinda' like the Joker from Batman! With no training in art I just resort to 'trial and error' and it doesn't always end up the way I want. :(
