What a lot of piecing. Obvious to see that hours and hours of work went into this one.

You did a wonderful job. It looks great!

Did you do a random scrappy? Just pulling the next color out of the bag to sew? or did you plan it some? My scrappy quilts never turn out so nice.

Ever so beautiful. Who would not like scrappy? Did it take a long time?

Yes it IS a random scrappy in the sense that I didn't colour coordinate, but I put emphasis on contrast only, which enhances the secondary patterns once all the blocks are put together! I just cut lots of 2" squares for the four patches and heaps of 4" squares for the HST's, when I had quite a few made up and was bored of that I then just selected from the pile layout the block making sure there was a 'bright' HST in the corners and that the 'light' stripe was well defined, not difficult at all, oh and tried to make sure I didn't have two of the same fabrics together, that's about it!

Thanks again for all your wonderful comments, I am so touched!

Here's a close up of a couple of blocks so you can see the contrast and layout

It is so beautiful! The colors are marvelous. It looks like it belongs in a quilting magazine!
