This is for my nephew who is an Eagle Scout. He accomplished that back in the late '90s and his dad recently brought me all of his Boy Scout tshirts to "do something with". I've never made a tshirt quilt but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be... so far. It was scary cutting up the shirts knowing I had just enough for twelve blocks. I will add a border all the way around of the Boy Scout fabric.

You did a great job. He will love it. Nice to have that fabric for a backing, too.

I thought about using it for the backing but it's a little pricey. Since I don't quilt and will have to hire that part out, this little momento will run about $200 already.... and that's without my labor and the cost of the t-shirts.

If I have some left over, I may run a strip of it across the back.
