She'll love it. I want to make more. I thought it would be fun to make a smaller quilt with just 1 bed for a quiick grandma gift. Kids so love to get surprises in the mail. First I have 2 large quilts to finish by Feb 15. One is almost done the other has to be quilted.

Well since I am new to quilting I've only recently visited some of the quilt shops. I primarily go to the one in Lakeway called the Cotton Cupboard (very nice staff and great material) and I like the Quilt Shop. I haven't bought anything there yet..but am considering taking a class there. I plan to make that adorable quilt for my newest granddaughter who will only be 2 in June (but not too young for a special quilt). The quilt is so popular at my house that my almost 12 year old granddaughter wants one too! Would be fun to visit a quilt shop with you when you come to Austin.

This would be unisex if it had animals tucked in...

That would be fun. How long have you been quilting?

I believe I started in September. Completed my first quilt which I may get a pic on page soon. Made a few easy table toppers for Christmas presents along with 30 pillowcases! Finally am getting around to a quilt for my granddaughter. I used a long arm for quilting my first quilt but it was a pretty basic all over looping pattern. On my granddaughter's I plan to plan it out and do something more using my new Mega Quilter here at home. I hope to practice quite a bit before doing so. It is quite a wild quilt with orange and purple; black and white whirly-gigs...just right for a preteen. Hope I do right by her.

That is so precious! I still remember loving little rag dolls and pockets when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing!
