I, too, made the Wildflower quilt and love yours, too. Aren't they beautiful?

The pattern was a part of the class fee. The owner of the QS wrote the pattern.

The embroidery is not difficult. Go for it.

I live in AZ too part of the year. Yes, pesky Snowbird. I love these quilts!! Friends made the Wildflower quilt and it's so beautiful. I'm partial to bargello and this just does it for me!! They are both beautiful!! Going to the big Show in Jan? Always go and love it. Come home enthused and exhausted!!
We have a great quilt show. Are you a snowbird that knows how to drive in Tucson? The driving is the biggest complaint of the natives.:)

All the LQSs you mentioned are great, and I want to put in a plug for Cathey's Sew-Vac, too. Not an LQS - but a dealer for Pfaff, Viking & Brother - with locations on the east side (Speedway near Craycroft) and northwest (I don't remember the street - I live on the east side LOL). Classes almost every day - and they bring in nationally known quilting & embroidery names several times a year for 'sit and sews' at the Sheraton on Grant Road. I've learned so much from both their classes & the 'sit & sews.' Sue Hausman comes at least once every year.
Donny and Janice Cathey and I have been friends for many years.

Do you mean the Snowbird's driving or driving in general?

Put it this way - there's a noticeable difference in driving in Tucson when the snowbirds arrive!
