Tuesday Garden Club quilt
#1
I finished this recently. It is "quilted" by machine stitching outlining the petals. I do not particularly like the way it turned out, but hanging at my "display Window", the stitching around the flowers doesn't really show. I quilted around each flower block with a decorative machine stitch.
(I think it is probaby hanging upside down!)
My display window looks out on my neighbors garbage cans --I have 2 other windows in the room, so decided to make this window a place to display quilts. There is a light darkening blind behind the quilt that is closed, so the quilts are not damaged by light exposure.
My house is relative small so I don't have a lot of places to display quilts. Using a window has worked well for me. I change them from time to time.

That is really a good way to show off large flower prints. Just beautiful.
Got me thinking though. It would be a good way to show off lots of stuff - Barnbums horses, all my star blocks, novelty prints, etc.
