I finally finished my tumbling spools scrap quilt top, after 10 months of effort (with lots of breaks). The pattern is in Patchwork & Stitching vol 8 no 8 and it measures about 73 by 62 inches which is why I had trouble getting far enough away to take a decent photo.

I have been looking for a spool pattern for awhile now. I really like yours. Is it a magazine or a book? I haven't heard of patchwork and stitching before.
