Very nice and a great Christmas idea!<style id="_clearly_component__css" type="text/css">#next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; } </style>

I do not prewash any of my fabrics. When I use flannel, I still piece the blocks using 1/4" seams. This Turning Twenty is 100 x 100 with the 2 extra borders I put on, so I use 1" seams when I pieced the backing. I always wash my quilts after I have them quilted and the binding on. I tell my family/friends that I will always be willing to make quilts for them BUT only if they use them and NOT "save them"!! I have never had any fall apart yet and they have been washed/dried many times over. I will note that I only use LQS flannel so IMHO, this is the reason for very minimal shrinking and no bleeding when the quilt is washed/dried.
